Just like millions of other college students I spend multiple hours on my phone and surfing the internet. Whether out of pure boredom, procrastination, or even just habit. And from 12pm-1pm (my break between classes) that’s exactly what I found myself doing. First I logged into Facebook, checking notifications, and replied to a messaged about buying some delicious Girl Scout Cookies, and of course “stalking” my friends. After about 20-30 mins. of Facebook I signed out and moved on to twitter. Twitter is another social networking site used to express yourself freely and to constantly update your newsfeed with ideas, locations, and emotions. Twitter is a site I use but not so often, so after seeing that a few new friends were following me that I met in my new classes I moved on to US Weekly. US Weekly is a magazine that covers celebrities and their scandals. Starting out by reading the controversial topics ranging from Ashton Kutcher and his new love interest to anything and everything Kardashian. It almost amazes me how much I love reading about people that I don’t know, and never will.
